Medical Microneedling

Medical Microneedling is also known as Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT). Medical Microneedling is a minimally invasive procedure.   • The skin is first cleansed with a cleanser. A numbing topical anesthetic cream with 10% lidocaine will be applied and left on for 30 minutes. Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin A + C, Collagen or Retinal serum is applied and Microneedling begins.  The Microneedling devices helps create micro channels to allow the serums to go deeper into the dermis and epidermis below the skin surface. Medical Microneedling treatments are typically 90 -120 minute treatment. A post treatment aloe mask is applied to help with smoothing and irritation that may occur. You may experience signs of redness or irritation, like a sunburn redness look.  The redness will last from 48-72 hours. Peeling may happen within 3-7 days after the treatment. Finally, results are typically achieved within four to six weeks.

  • The healing process happens at home after the treatment is given. Depending on the desired results and skin conditions, patients are recommended to come back every 4 -6 weeks for 2 to 3 more treatments. Most obvious results are seen after the third treatment. Patients can maintain their rejuvenated skin by coming in every 2-4 months for a Medical Microneedling treatment.
